Green Point is definitely the place to be this week, with Bon Jovi rocking the stage last night and Bieber Fever reaching an all time high in the lead up to his concert tonight. If you're out on the fanwalk send us a tweet (@GreenPointCID) and let us know what it's like. Remember that our team is there in full force so if you have any problems don't hesitate to approach them.
We would also like to welcome three graduates from the Chrysalis Academy, a provincial community safety initiative, who are working with the GP/OKCID as additional eyes and ears on the ground, learning valuable skills that will be useful for their future employment prospects.

Welgemeend, a unique historic gem in the heart of Cape Town
In the heart of Cape Town, on the slopes of Table Mountain, stands the beautiful old homestead of Welgemeend. This impressive property, tucked away between what is today the sought after suburbs of Oranjezicht, Tamboerskloof, Gardens and Vredehoek, dates back to 1693, when a piece of land in the “Table Valley” was given to Andries de Man.
