Welcome to July 2014

As we celebrate Mandela Day this month, there are many ways in which you can do something good for the environment, care centres or for the elderly, ill or destitute people local schools.

In this month’s newsletter we list some of the ways you can spend your 67 minutes. If you haven’t already done so, please email us on info@gpokcid.co.za to add your Mandela Day event or project to our events section and help spread the word.

We also announce the launch of the new private social network OurHood, which has gone live in Green Point and is launching in Gardens now. It's a great way to get and stay connected with people in your neighbourhood, we are honoured to be the first City Improvement Districts to be part of this community building initiative.

This month the GPCID is celebrating 13 years of successful operation. Thank you to all who have helped us to make Green Point a great place to live, work and play. Let us continue to work together for the benefit of all.

Best wishes,

Marc Truss

GP/OKCID Chief Executive
